Yvonne (Wilson) Lyons

Deaconess Yvonne Isabelle (Wilson) Lyons, 79, of Erie, passed away on May 22, 2024, at Pleasant Ridge Manor surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Joliet, IL, on June 29, 1944, daughter of the late William and Rachael (Lewis) Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Deacon Billy Ray Lyons on May 6, 2024, her siblings, Sharlene Wilson, Germaine Hill, Delores Lee, Richard Wilson, Eugene Lewis and Ronald Cornelius. Nephew, David Hill, and her niece, Diane Hogue.

Yvonne served as a Deaconess at Shiloh Baptist Church, where she was faith based and served with her husband Deacon Billy Ray.  She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, she enjoyed cooking, bowling, ceramics and was the neighborhood grandmother to many.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Andre R. Lyons (Rhonda), Charmaine L. Lyons and Marchawn E. Lyons (Tracy), all of Erie, Pa., her siblings, George Wilson, Melvin Cornelius, Rosa Wilson and Patricia Childs. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
