Yvonne Denise Carson

Yvonne Denise "Sexy Bonnie" Carson, oldest grandchild of the Carson family, 66, of Erie, passed away on December 7, 2023, at UPMC-Hamot after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Willie Belle Carson and Lawrence Brothers.

Yvonne worked miscellaneous jobs over the years. She was a member of First Good Samaritan Zion Church A.M.E.Z. where she served on the usher's board. She loved attending church, family gatherings, camping, staying busy, most importantly spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She had a smile that would light up the room. She was selfless and was always there to help anyone in need.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Derrick Carson and her grandson, Donta D. Carson, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Demetria E. Carson, step mother, Ruthie Brothers, Trent (Dawn) Carson and Vernon Duck, her grandchildren, Daryl Carson, Desaray Pacley (Melquon), Da'Shara Carson, companion, Thea White and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to First Good Samaritan Zion Church 3209 Pennsylvania Avenue, Erie, Pa 16504 on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of her homegoing service at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503.
