Willis "Gold" Martin

Willis "Gold" Martin, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at Nightingale Nursing & Rehab Center. Willis was born March 10, 1946, in Madison County, Tennessee to Mr. W.C. Martin and Mrs. Annie L. Martin.

  Willis graduated from East High School in 1965. His occupation was a steel worker. He was employed at Erie Malible then onto Zurn where he later retired from. Gold enjoyed loving his wife, being around his friends and family and if you know like I know you know he loved his Budweiser! Make sure you have one in his honor!

  Willis is preceded in death by his twin sister Pearlie Mae Martin, brother Gregory Cole, and his 2 sons Timothy and Bobby Jordan.

  He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Freddie Mae Martin, siblings, Herby(Beverly) Martin, Leonard ( Deneiser) Martin, John ( Ruth)Martin, Rev. William(Dorothy) Martin, Quentin Cole, Dale(Marcie) Cole, Marty Cole, Robert(Brenda)Hicks, Elaine Cole, and Clara(Harold)Manley. His children, Willis Martin Jr. and Carolyn Jordan, 2 Goddaughters, Juanita Gregory and Lashawna Hill, and daughter-in-law Rochelle(Timothy)Jordan.

 Also his grandchildren Deon, Zelqwan, Myquan, Evian, and Indyion Jordan, Willie Goodwin, Dominique, Devonne, Shauntavia, Latasha, Latoya and Robert Jordan, Anthony Gates, Timothy Jr, Olydia, Dana, Timaj, Javonate, and Javaya Jordan, Raevonne Newsome-Martin, Barry Hill, Demarco and Shenita Grandberry, Jontay and Jyi'Onna Poole, and many great grand children cousins and friends.

  Relatives and friends are invited to Davis – Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM until the time of his Homegoing Celebration beginning at 2:00 PM.
