Willie A. Jordan of Erie, Pa passed away on April 28, 2025, at Nightengale Nursing Home. Willie was born on September 4, 1959, son of the late Evelyn and Henry W. Jordan.
Willie graduated from Tech Memorial High School. After graduation he worked for Urick Foundry for several years and Accuride for over 30 years before retiring. Willie's accomplishments were many. He was the #1 track runner in High School. He was also very artistic. He displayed an exhibition of the Underground Railroad at the Children's Museum. Willie's biggest accomplishment was becoming and International Usher. He enjoyed socializing and helping the community everywhere he went. He was the most dedicated Usher in Erie, he will be truly missed.
Willie was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church of Erie, Pa, Rev. Marcus P. Yuille as his Pastor.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Oliver, John L. and Benny Jordan, one sister, Evangela Jordan (Cookie) and his ex-wife, Elizabeth Gray Jordan.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Marie Dupree Jordan, his stepdaughter, Deundra Dupree, step grandchildren, Malik, Danae, Savyon, DeAzia and Kyiimari Dupree, sisters, Chappie, Delores, Mary and Lavette Jordan, all of Erie, Pa and Matte and Roy Elder of Pittsburgh, Pa, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Willie was the most dedicated Usher in Erie. He will be truly missed.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Community Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 German Street, Erie, Pa 16503 from 10:00 am until the time of his Homegoing Service at 12:00 pm with Pastor Marcus P.
