Willie James Hollamon, Sr., 72, of Erie, passed away May 2, 2023, at UPMC Hamot. Born November 8, 1950, in Houston, Mississippi. He was the son of Nathaniel and Lucille (Pulliam) Hollamon.
He was a bus driver for Erie School District. Willie wrestled, played high school football, and played for the United Softball League at Roger Young Park.
Survivors include a son, Willie Hollamon, Jr., of Altoona; step daughters, Kesha Allen of Erie and Kanika Allen of Virginia Beach, Virginia; brothers, Larry Hollamon (Rebecca) of Erie, Barry Hollamon (Jackie), of Charlotte, NC, David Hollamon (Shelly) of Jacksonville, FL, Charles Hollamon of Atlanta, GA, and Bruce Hollamon of Erie; sisters, Ethel (Billy) Bell, Shirley Hollamon and Rita Hollamon all of Erie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony; a great niece and a step son.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 11 AM until the hour of his Homegoing Celebration at 1 PM at the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 155 East 21st Street, Erie, PA 16503.
