Willie Lamont “Monty” Heidelberg gained his wings unexpectedly on Friday December 23rd 2022 in Erie Pennsylvania. He was born in Erie Pennsylvania to his loving parents Lois page and Willie Green Heidelberg Sr. Monty graduated from Cathedral prep in 1984 where he excelled not only academically but also was a standout All-State Athlete in Football, Baseball, and Track and field. Won 1984 prep athlete of the year award. Monty was a journeymen his places of employment Alex roofing for many years and was last employed at Roggs. He was a die hard Miami dolphins fan. Willie was a lively person where he would love most to be around his family and loved ones. He loved to play soft ball, tell jokes, while entertaining with his humorous approach and charismatic personality. He was the oldest out of all ten siblings. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend who will be missed tremendously. Willie was proceeded in death by his Grandfathers Peter Heidelberg and Louis Wallace Page, his Grandmothers Merrill Page and Essie B Porter Heidelberg and his brother Allen Davis. He leaves to cherish all his memories with his parents Lois page and Willie Green Heidelberg Sr, his children Deleshia Wayne, Ashley Heidelberg, Tanyia Heidelberg, Kadiece Heidelberg, and his only son Da’Joun Lamont Heidelberg, his siblings Merle Page ,Tonja PageRoosevelt Benjamin, John Page, Alex Heidelberg, Ellen Page, Betina Heidelberg-Jones, Shinic Davis Heidelberg, Shonta Davis Heidelberg, and Svita Heidelberg, his 13 grandchildren and a host of uncles,aunts, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to Mount Gerizim Christian Center, 823 Cherry Street, Erie, Pa 16502 on Friday December 30, 2022, from 10:00am to 12:00pm with his Funeral Service beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Erie Cemetery.
