William Ray Sturm lived a life defined by adventure and strength. From chasing shooting stars in Nova Scotia, elk hunting in Hells Roaring Montana, gold mining in the Sierra Nevada’s, backpacking through British Columbia, to photographing the Swiss Alps, he was always drawn to exploration and the beauty of the world around him.
Closer to home, Bill left a lasting mark—quite literally—on the infrastructure of homes and monuments within his community, and he leaves behind DNA to prove it. His legacy lives on not only in what he built with his hands, but in the family, he loved and the lives he shaped.
Bill is preceded in death by his Son Nathan Sturm. He is survived by his wife, Tina; her daughters Tiffany Clay and Ashley Davis, her husband Dustin, and their children Charlie and Lizzy; his son Adam Sturm, Adam’s wife Kristen, and their daughters Madelyn and Olivia; and his grandson, Dylan Ray Sturm. Bill also leaves behind two sisters Linda Rice and Lori Suhy.
William was a graduate of General Mclane Class of 1970 and a proud Veteran of the United States Army.
