William Anthony (Moon) Gillespie passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on June 30, 1983 son of Valerie Gillespie and Ellis Qualls.
William was a student at Strong Vincent Highschool until 2002. He worked a couple of temporary jobs over the years until 2021 where he was a temporary Fork Lift driver for Bush Industries.
William was all about his family and friends. He loved spending time with all of his children, nieces and nephews. He was an absolute joy to be around with his big beautiful smile. William could be found in his front yard spending time with the many friends, family and even strangers. He also loved to watch his favorite team play, the Buffalo Bills.
William is preceded in death by his son Marquise Gillespie. William leaves behind three more sons; Jashon Dovishaw, Tyrique (Ricco) Brown and LaRod Gillespie, two sisters; Shanese Glover and Ivory Faulkner, five brothers; Bobby, Antonio, Dwight, Jermaine Gillespie and Shatwan Glover, also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Friends and family are invited to the Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of his Homegoing Celebration beginning at 1:00 PM with Bishop Danny Stanton officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
