Thomas A. Wernicki

Thomas Anthony Wernicki, 76, of Erie, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born March 23, 1949, in Erie, son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Ploszaj) Wernicki. Tom was a Vietnam War Veteran and worked as a machinist at FMC for 40 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed fishing Lake Erie as well as in Minnesota. He also loved to travel, particularly cruising, and visited all 50 states. He loved spending time with his family most of all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Frank Wernicki, and one brother-in-law, Robert (Bob) Clemenson. Survivors include his beautiful wife of 54 years, Carol J. Wernicki (Clemenson) and two sons, Thomas Wernicki and wife Roberta of Ravenna, OH, and Chad Wernicki and wife Stacy of Girard, PA, three siblings, James Wernicki and wife Donna both of Erie, Christopher Wernicki and wife Sandra of McKean, PA. and Kathleen Thaler and husband Denis of Waterford, PA. Also survived by in-laws, Oliver and Lorna (Rusert) Clemenson of Crookston, MN, Juliane Smith and husband Gregory of St. Louis Park, MN, Lonnie and wife Eileen Clemenson of Renville, MN, Donna Enghauser and husband Tom Heinecke of Minnetonka, MN, and Lola Radermacher of Alexandria, MN. Special friends Jim and Karen Perfetto of The Villages, FL, and bonus children Patrick Perfetto and wife Val of Melbourne, FL, Robert Perfetto and wife Robyn of Tamarac, FL, and Christina Flanagan and husband Michael of Millcreek, PA. He is survived by three grandchildren, Bailey Wernicki, Paige Wernicki, and Mason Wernicki, all of Girard, PA., and many nieces and nephews.  

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements were made by the Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA16503.
