Sarah "Sally" Carroll

Sarah R. "Sally" Carroll, 87, of Bradford, Pa, passed away on March 24, 2025, at The Pavillion at BRMC. Sally was born in Bradford, Pa on July 21, 1937, daughter of the late Patrick John and Rita Leone (Cleveland) Carroll.

Sally was a former member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania where she taught school for 12 years in Erie, Pa. She moved back to Bradford, Pa and started teaching in the Limestone, NY School District where she retired after 30 years of service.

She is survived by one sister, Francie Ambuske (Greg) of Bradford, PA, one brother, Tom Carroll (Annette) of Yorktown, IN and one sister-in-law, Helen Carroll of Bradford, PA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, John Paul Simon (Asha) of Bethesda, MD, Michael Carroll (Penny) of Portland, OR, Mark Carroll (Calista) of Chantilly, VA, Cathi Davis (Mark) of Erie, PA, Dana Carroll of Cary, NC, James Carroll (Gigi) of Bradford, Pa, John Carroll (Alexandra) of Randolph, MA, Thomas Carroll (Michaelle) of Warren, PA, Amy DeGurian (Mark) of Venetia, Pa, Greg Ambuske (Ann) of Broomfield, CO, Carly Ambuske (Matt Natale) of Denver, CO, Tommy Carroll (Kim) of New Castle, IN, and Jill Carroll of Noblesville, IN, several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Simon, two brothers, Patrick J. Carroll, III and James C. Carroll, her sister-in-law, Gloria J. Carroll, brother-in-law, Tony Simon and her nephew, Marc Simon.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, April 3, 2025, at St. Bernard Church, 95 East Corydon Street, Bradford, PA 16701 from 9:00 am until the time of her funeral mass at 10:00 am. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503.
