Mr. Roy A. Hinton Sr., known to his family as “Annie” was a life long resident of Erie passed away on September 17, 2021. Born October 18, 1960, he was the son of the late Lavon Hinton Sr. and Lillie (Gore) Hinton.
He was a graduate of Academy High School and was a Steelers fan who enjoyed watching all sports with family. He retired from PHB Diecast with 31 years of service. He had a sincere love for the Lord.
Roy leaves to cherish his memory, four loving sons, Roy A Hinton, jr., Tony Hinton, Jeffrey Hinton, and Cory Hinton; nine grandchildren, Nyasta, Shyya, Leianthony, Ariah, Sareena, Nyleiah, Truviari, Rein and Imani; two brothers, John E. Davis and wife Betty and Wesley Davis and wife Betty. Three sisters, debra Hinton, Dessiree Bean and husband, Mack Jr., and Louise Davis. Nephew; Jimmie D. Morris Jr.. Nieces; Ramona Parraway, Mary Thomas, Deneen Morris, Lillian Barnes, Angela Plott; very special friends, Stacy Hinton, Rothell Selby, Dwayne Gore, Ronnie Harden, Fred Martin and Mag Burrows; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and adopted children
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Grady Davis and Lavon Hinton Jr.; two sisters, Willie Lee Gore and Mary Helen Morris.
Family and friends may call Greater Bethlehem Temple Church, 4103 Washington Ave., 4 to 8 PM Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 to Noon, the time of the Service. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
