Rodney Knight

Rodney Eugene Knight “Rod” passed away peacefully on January 6, 2023. He was born in Erie, PA to Ronnie Knight Sr. and Minnetta Scott. Rodney graduated from Job Corps in Pittsburgh and gained a certificate in Welding upon Graduating. Rodney was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was always the life of the party, a big guy with a big heart.
He is Preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents Ezell and Minnie Knight, maternal Grandparents Joe and Jacqueline Smith Sr., Stepdad Wille Scott Sr. and 2 Uncles Greg Knight and Dwight Smith Sr. Rodney leaves to cherish fond memories and is survived by his parents, Ronnie Knight Sr. (Edna) and Minnetta Scott. He is also survived by his five daughters, Janisa Johnson, Roneisha Knight, Diamond Knight, Takara Knight and Rodjanae Knight. In addition he is survived by two Brothers Ronnie Knight Jr. and Andre Knight, three sisters Michelle (George) Johnson Sr, Monica (Lamar) Stribling and Melissa (Freddie) Nixon and his Godmother/Aunt Dorothy Smith-Frazier. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren all of whom he adored, a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and his special friend Tisha Beason.
 

Friends and family are invited to Davis - Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503 on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 11:00 AM till the time of his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private.
