SHARON, Pa. — Robert E Palmer Sr., 74, a lifelong resident and beloved community member, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Robert was born in Sharon on August 18, 1951, to the late Martha Palmer (Wren) and Samuel Palmer. He grew up in the Shenango Valley during a vibrant period of its history, a time when the region was a bustling industrial center.
After graduating from Farrell High School, Robert pursued a welding certification as well as many other jobs. His colleagues knew him as a very intelligent and hard-working person. Robert retired from West Middlesex Diner after years of dedicated service.
In his spare time, Robert enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, as well as raising his youngest daughter as a single father. Robert's quick wit and easy-going nature endeared him to all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his children, Romero (Amber) Norris, Farrell, PA; Cheria Norris, Erie, PA; Robert Palmer Jr, Sharon, PA; Shavone Palmer, Farrell, PA; Adam (Katharine) Biro, Sharpsville, PA; and Samantha Palmer, Erie, PA. He is also survived by his siblings, Julius Coalston and Iris (Walter) Curry, as well as nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Martha Palmer, his sister, Mary Jo Palmer, and his grandson Romero Norris II.
A private cremation will take place at Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services Inc.
