Richard G Koos

Richard G. Koos, 76 of Erie, Pa, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Walnut Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on May 1, 1949, in Erie, Pa, son of the late Richard T. and Dorothy Irene (Shields) Koos.

Richard was the head grounds keeper at Lakeshore Country Club for 16 years, he was also the Banquet Manager at the Ambassador Conference Center and worked for Allburn Flower Shop. He enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Henry B. Smith, daughters, Kristina Voll of Cincinnati, Oh and Heather Devore of Plainfield, four grandchildren, Dylan, Ashlyn, Hayden and Abigail and one sister, Colleen Koos Myerson (Hy) of Burchrunville, Pa.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Irene Koos.

There will be a private graveside service and burial in Erie Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503.
