Richard Alford

Richard E. Alford, 75, of Jamestown, Ny, passed away on February 11, 2023, at the Veterans Hospital in Erie following an extended illness. He was born in Brookville, Pa on June 4, 1947, son of the late Richard and Floretta (Haight) Alford. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Harry, Susan and Larry Alford.
Richard served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed vacationing every year on Cape Cod, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his three children Shawn Alford of Lockport, NY, Kristina Alford and Amanda Alford, both of Jamestown, NY. He is also survived by one sister, Brenda Joyce Nutt and Dan Howard of Jamestown, NY and seven grandchildren, Brooke, Madison, Gavin, Tanner, Tayor, Cameron, Shawn Jr and two great grandchildren, Logan and Ryan.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Davis - Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503 from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 5:00 pm. Burial will be private. Condolences may be sent to davisgarrfuneralhome.com.
