Paul Niedzwecki Obituary

Paul T “Pundi” Niedzwiecki of Erie, age 89, passed away on January 18, 2023. Born September 29, 1933, son of Julius Niedzwiecki and Josephine (Zmudzinski) Niedzwiecki. Paul graduated from Tech Memorial, where he participated in water sports. He received an honorable discharge after serving 8 years in the US Navy, and earned his living in the Tool & Die industry. Paul enjoyed bowling, traveling to see country concerts, playing cards, and trips to the casino.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Niedzwiecki, Clara Daniszewski, and Rita Marshall. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Catherine (Szymanski) Niedzwiecki, daughters Mary (Pat) Scutella and Christine (Mark) Ferrare, grandchildren Cecelia Ferrare (Eddie Young), Patrick Scutella (Shauna), and Dominic Ferrare; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and handled by Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc.. The family would like to give a special thank you to Paul’s VA advocates, Julia Roussos and Amy Tabatcher. Any memorials may be made to local VA services.
