Paul Birchfield

Paul Darrold Birchfield (Darrold), 45, born September 25, 1978, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2023. He was born in Erie, Pa, son of J. Denise Grady and Paul Nickson. He was a funny man who liked to make jokes and make people laugh. 

Darrold loved spending time with his family. He furthered his education at Erie Business Center and was currently attending Grand Canyon Online University to earn his Business Degree. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dorthella Nickson, his maternal great grandmother, Mary Lee Huddelston, his maternal grandfather, James A. Gladney, Henry Robinson, Sr., Rex Thorton and Anne H. Norton, and a cousin on his mother's side, Davion Birchfield.

He is survived by his parents, J. Denise Grady and Ronny Grady and his dad Paul Nickson. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Audrey T. Birchfield, his wife, Patoshi Prescott, two sons, Darrold Birchfield and Davauri Birchfield, his two daughters, Deeajah Prescott and Dalijah Prescott, five grandchildren, Da'Zarion, Da'Zayyah, Aaieni, Alayah and A'Khiya, his siters, Tammy Birchfield, Shareese Birchfield, Rashad Grady and his brother, Da'Mon Grady. He is also survived by his siblings on the Nickson side, his niece, Liana, nephew, Lavon and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a special friend Lynda Muyombo. Darrold was loved and adored by everyone he came in contact with, always willing to lend a helping hand, Paul Darrold Birchfield will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, November 13, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of his service at 12:00 noon at Davis -Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. Please send condolences to davisgarrfuneralhome.com.
