Patrick Peters Obituary

Patrick Gerard Peters, age 63, of Union City, Pennsylvania, was called home surrounded by loved ones on October 5, 2025, after a very, very long battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS). He was born in Erie on December 9, 1961, son of the late Arthur Peters and Jean (Bender) Peters.

Pat graduated from Northwestern High School, and Penn State Behrend with a degree in Information Technology.  He worked for Lord Corporation, Ridg-U-Rak, and Networking Technologies.

He was an avid outdoors-man, enjoying fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping.  He was also an expert marksman, woodworker, and handyman, just to name a few of his many, many skills.  Pat could learn about, and fix or build almost anything.  He loved riding his mare Diamond, debating politics, hanging with his high school chums, playing with the cats, traveling, and loved reading and music.

Pat was a loving husband, a caring son and brother, a good friend, and mentor to many young people.

Pat leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 32 years, Donna (Milligan) Peters, and siblings Arthur (Karen) Peters, Girard, PA; Madonna Smith (Michael Mascitelli), Vero Beach, FL; Ann McDonald, Girard, PA; David (Donna) Peters, Charlotte, NC; Marjorie Peters, Alexandria, VA; and Robert (Kimberly) Peters, Middletown, MD.  He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Paul “PJ” Peters.

Pat was a fun-loving uncle and truly enjoyed his nieces and nephews, as well as their children.  He loved his huge family of Peters and Bender cousins, and never wanted to miss a reunion or Christmas party with them.

Pat fought the good, and the toughest fight, and surely has received his reward.
