Patricia Bruschi Obituary

Patricia Ann (Krasinski) Bruschi, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2023, following a brief illness. She was born in Erie, PA on August 18, 1934, daughter of the late Anthony and Jean (Chroscielewski) Krasinski. She was a graduate of St. Stanislaus grade school and St. Benedict Academy High School. She was especially proud of her Polish heritage, speaking and reading Polish, listening to the “polka hour” on Sunday mornings, attending Zabawa Polish Festival every summer and dancing at hundreds of polka dances!

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Louis Bruschi, daughters Lou Ann (John) Sitler, Bev Denning, Gail (Dave) Nientimp and Janet (Jeff) Malina; sister-in-law Genny Krasinski, brother-in-laws Paul (Beth) Bruschi, Dave (Barb) Bruschi and Bob Bruschi. She is further survived by her beloved grandchildren; Jason (Chelsea) Kraus, Kelly (Tony) Kraus, Erin (Nick) Velasquez, Mike (Lynn) Denning, Kyle (Alessa) Nientimp, Emily (Carolyn) Bell, Matt (Clare) Nientimp and Krista, Nick  and Sara Malina. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren!

She was preceded in death by father and mother-in-law, Paul and Rose (Cimino) Bruschi, her brother and sister-in law, Richard and Mary Lou Krasinski, brother Donald Krasinski, grandson Jamie Denning and special family friend Greg Porter.

Besides her full time job of raising four girls, she worked at many different jobs including Arthur F. Schultz Company, Heart to Heart Bridal Salon, JC Penny, Springhill and Hoffman’s Church & Religious Goods. Pat was also the “family seamstress”, hemming no less than hundreds of pants for the whole family! She even made the beautiful bridesmaids dresses for Lou Ann’s wedding.

In her spare time, Pat could be found at McDonald’s for breakfast visiting with friends, on the phone catching up or out shopping. She also enjoyed cheering on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at all of their sporting or other events - sitting through rain, snow, or heat!!

One of Pat’s other great interests was dancing! She and Lou were members of the Stardust Ballroom Dance Club, Club 50 and the American Legion where they found their joy in attending classes, participating in shows and volunteering as entertainers with the “50 Something” dance group at many senior living communities and nursing homes. They enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing, participating at McDowell’s Little Theatre for their yearly music show and attending dances all across the area. When a jitterbug started, they were the first one’s out there showing off their stuff! She was also very proud when she and Lou were featured as dancers in John Lyon’s local movie production, Schism, in 2008.
