Oscar Lee (Toe) Quinn, 58 passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh PA. He was born on December 2, 1965 in Erie, PA., the son of the late Carl John and Cecila Louise Quinn. “Toe” as he was endearingly called, was a well-known resident of Erie for over fifty years, where he attended Strong Vincent High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Oscar found solace and inspiration as a member of Victory Christian Center Cathedral, where he eagerly absorbed the living word of God, experiencing its transformative influence in his life. He served faithfully as an usher, bringing the joy of the Lord to his role. He enjoyed traveling, watching TV and talking with family. He had a reputation for his straightforwardness “gift of gab.” Oscar's memory will endure for a multitude of reasons, with his outgoing demeanor and generous spirit standing out as particularly memorable.
Survived by those who will cherish his memory, daughter Taylor Lynn Quinn of Laurel MD, and son Emery Stovall (Ericka) of Tampa, FL.; four brothers, Carl Quinn Jr., of Fayetteville, N.C., Tony Hollingsworth (Faith), and Anthony Quinn, of Erie, PA., Jonathan Quinn (Ebony) of Greensburg, PA., and three sisters Theresa Quinn of Erie, PA., Sabrina Stevenson-Temple of Glen Allen, VA., and Regina Quinn-Akers of Erie, PA; a grandson Kai Carter Jenifer, three special nieces he called as his daughters Chania Akers, Carrington Akers, NeNe Williams, and one nephew he call as his son Nathaniel Akers whom he loved and aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, Christian family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Victory Christian Center Cathedral, 1129 Pennsylvania Ave, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of his Homegoing Celebration at 1:00 PM with Bishop Dwane Brock officiating. Burial will be private. Davis – Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 has been entrusted with handling arrangements.
