Nathaniel Beason, 77, of Erie, Pa, passed away on transitioned on December 31, 2024 at UPMC Hamot. He was born to the late Manson and Sudie (Davis) Beason on February 8, 1947, in Jackson, MS.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Gettie Mae Beason Woodard Johnson, Nina Mae Beason, Queen Esther Beason, Eula Beason and Ida Mae Beason, his brothers, Rufus Beason and Reese Beason and his uncle, Ennis Beason.
Nathaniel enjoyed watching sports, making people laugh, gambling and telling people, "Get your feet out of the square".
Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Barry Thompson and Andre Jenkins, his sisters, Elaine Barnes, Rosie Johnson, Christine Taylor, Delores Johnson and Odette Taylor, brothers, Grover Beason, Oscar Beason and Walter Porter, his grandchildren, Brent Thompson, Juntwillis Sanders, Morgan Williams, Myisha Davis, Stachira Davis, Barry Thompson, Jr.,Neia Horne and Iriahn Thompson, 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to Victory Christian Center Cathedral, 1129 Pennsylvania Ave., Erie, Pa 16503 on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of his Homegoing Celebration beginning at 1:00 pm with Bishop Dwane Brock, officiating. Burial will follow in Erie Cemetery.
