Mazli R. (Salchli) Hook

Mazli Rosina (Salchli) Hook, 77, of Erie, passed away March 3, 2022 at UPMC Hamot. She was born on June 3, 1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Raymond John and Angnes Elizabeth (Hartman) Salchli.  
Mazli graduated Villa Maria Academy and received her degrees in Child Psychology and Social Work at Villa Maria College.
She owned Country Day Care for 35 years.
Mazli loved her pets, loved to teach, read, listen to music, travel and cook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Salchli.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Lee Hook, her daughter, Sondralee Orengia, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well has her dear friend and “sister” Mary Popp.
We will honor her with a Celebration of Life which will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, Pa 16511.
