Mark T Gray

Mark Theodore Gray, age 69.

Mark was born in Erie, Pa. Mark passed away in Erie after a courage battle with cancer on June 21, 2025. Mark studied Culinary Cuisine at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, New York. He became a great chef. Mark worked in many restaurants. He worked in New York City, Long Island, west Palm Beach and several restaurants in Erie area, including his beloved Theodore’s Restaurant, named after his father.

Mark is survived by his mother SueAnn Pier (James), his sister Karen Esser (William), his nephews Eric Esser (Christine), Adam Esser (Crystal), niece Cara Esser MD and a lot of good friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, section 1A, on July 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
