Mark Lawrence Davidson, Sr., 72, of Erie, Pennsylvania passed away on April 14th.
Mark was born on December 22, 1952, to the late Clifford Allen Davidson and Elvie June Barham (Theodore McNeal) in Erie, PA. After graduating from Strong Vincent High School, he went on to receive a Bachelors degree in Education at Fort Valley State University on a Diving scholarship. While there, he was an active member of the school's yearbook staff, serving as Senior Editor. FVSU is where Mark became a proud member of Omega Psi Phi, Inc. Not only was Mark an Educator, he was a swim instructor to many he came in contact with.
Along with his parents, other family members preceded him in death, sister Barbara Fleming (Will), brother Kip McNeal (Teresa) and two brothers-in-law Leonard Sims, Jr. (Jada) and Robert Sims. Mark leaves behind three children Kimberly Williamson (Dennis) of Hampton, GA., Mark Davidson, Jr. of East Point, GA, both from his late former wife Rita Diane Sims and Kayleigh Davidson of Philadelphia, PA., seven grandchildren: Ty Roberson, Martina Davidson, Jaden Oden, Mya Davidson, Makayla Davidson, Dallis Williamson, and Micah Davidson, and three great-grandchildren: Cypher Roberson, Ky'ier Bess, and Cymber Roberson. He also leaves behind three sisters: Sandra McNeal, Roslyn Davidson-Riley (James) and Latonya Moffett and two brothers Theodore McNeal, Jr. and Fred Davidson Rhett along with a brother-in-law Terry Sims (Joyce) and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
