Marcus A Carder, 58, of Erie, passed away peacefully at UPMC Hamot on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Marcus was born on October 17, 1966, to the late Effie Mary Carder and Jimmy Mannis.
In addition to his parents, Marcus was preceded in death by his Sister Gloria Carder, brother, John Floyd Carder, two nieces, Johnterria and Effie and his uncle, Zander Carder.
Marcus graduated from Tech Memorial High School, was a wrestler and enjoyed weightlifting, barbecues, watching movies and listening to music.
Marcus leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Karen J. Carder, three sons, Nathan Hiles (Danielle), Timothy McCaffrey and Nicholas Davis. One daughter, Jenna Thompson (Ouijalwan), three sisters, Patricia Ann Carder, Sharon Caviness - Chandler and Bessie Lee Carder. 15 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his bonus brothers, Michael and Tyrone Allen, nephew, Burt Williams and many friends that are like family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Davis – Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday June 14, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church 1719 Cascade Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16502 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Homegoing Celebration beginning at 12:00 PM with Pastor D.R.
