Lorraine Oster

Lorraine Delores Skrutsky Oster was born on December 7, 1944, in Scranton, Pennsylvania and passed away March 19th, 2026, after a long valiant battle with cancer.  She was the youngest of 4 children born to Stephanie and Anthony Skrutsky. 

She was 5 years old when her family moved to Erie Pa.

She attended East High School and worked as a concession manager at Shea's Theater where her boss became the love of her life. She married A.C. Oster Jr. in 1964.  Two years later she had her first and only child Carl A. Oster

She loved caring for her fur/feather babies. They filled her life with joy.  She enjoyed decorating her home inside and out.  She loved cooking, game shows and sitting on her back deck.  

Her best days were spending time with her son and 2 grandsons.

She loved shopping and her colorful giving spirit was known everywhere she went.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, brothers Anthony Skrutsky, John "Jack" Skrutsky and sister Rosemarie "Babe" Hayes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 E 10th Street, Erie PA 16511.  A Graveside Service will take place, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 E. 12th Street, Erie PA 16503.
