Leon Slivinski

Leon R. Slivinski, 87, of Erie, passed from his earthly ties into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, June 30, 2023 at UPMC-Hamot. He was born in Erie, Pa on April 21, 1936, son of the late Leo and Gertrude Brzezinski Slivinski. 

He attended Cathedral Prep High School and Gannon University. He was a member of the Erie County Sheriff's Department and Rescue Team. He worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 40 years as a final polisher and retired in 1995.  He loved the outdoors and especially he loved fishing. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and active in  Divine Mercy. He was married to the former Beverly Lundberg for 46 years. In addition, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edmund and a sister, Geraldine. He is survived by four sons, Kevin, Kenneth, Keith and Kipp, three grandchildren and many, many friends.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, July 7,2023 at St. Stanislaus Church 516 East 13th Street, Erie, Pa 16503 from 4:00 pm until the time of his Funeral Mass at 6:00 pm. Private Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503.
