It is with the heaviest of hearts that we declare the passing of Leamon Miller Plott jr. The Lord called him home on Sunday, May 19, 2024. In birth order, Leamon was the second of six siblings. He was born December 22, 1966, in Aliceville, Alabama to parents Leamon Miller Faulkner Sr. and Ollie V. (Plott) Faulkner Watson.
Leamon attended Technical Memorial High School, served in the military (National Guard), and was a part of the Co-op work program. After high school, he furthered his education by entering J.H Thompson Academy. Upon completion thereof, he pursued a career in the medical field. He worked as a phlebotomist and an HIV counselor for many years. In addition, he later entered a career in early intervention and outreach for the remainder of being in the workforce, where he serviced children and families throughout Erie County through GECAC where he was acknowledged and received an award for his outstanding work. Leamon also served on the Board of Directors for both Erie Rise Leadership Academy Charter School and Greater Erie Community Action Committee (GECAC).
He was especially known for his high intelligence and ability to connect with everyone he met. He never met a stranger and would often go out of his way to check on friends, family, and even practical strangers, this includes feeding them as well. He was an avid animal lover and fostered many dogs in need of a home, love and care. His specialty areas were being attentive to everyone’s needs, making people happy and known for his pep talks, but you could depend on him to extend his hand just to support. One special feature about Leamon is that he never failed to begin and end each meet and greet with a kiss.
While he was an excellent swimmer, he participated in several adult organized sports leagues such as flag football and baseball. He enjoyed life: karaoke, fast dancing, and singing. Far more than helping and pleasing others, he enjoyed watching football, specifically the Dallas Cowboys where he was a “die hard” fan since his childhood and making the most out of life by spending time with friends and family.
Leamon was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kathleen (Rufus) and Nathaniel, maternal grandparents, Ivory and Johnny and his eldest and dearly missed brother, Timothy Plott Sr., and honorary father, Clarence Watson.
Our beloved is survived by his parents, Leamon Miller Faulkner Sr.(Willie Grace) and Mother, Ollie Plott Faulkner Watson. His children: Sirena (Cornelius) and Joshua Plott. The lady of his life (Jennifer Jaggi) and his honorary children Shawniece and Nautica.
Sisters: Cathy Wall (Raymond), Nenette Faulkner (Antonio), Lenell Faulkner, and Brother, Demetrice Faulkner of Atlanta, Georgia and Sister-in-law, Angela Plott. Also, many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and dearest paw-friend Tank.
