In Loving Memory of La'Kreasha Juanita Lewis
La'Kreasha Juanita “Krea”Lewis, was born May 11, 1983, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 2:24 p.m. at UPMC Hospital, at the age of 41 where she was surrounded by loving family in her final moments.
Lakreasha was born in Erie, PA to the beloved Lillian Lewis Barnes and the late Douglas Anthony Lewis Sr.
Lakreasha was known for her strong work ethics, dedication, and devotion to doing hair, which lead to her being a proud graduate of the Great Lakes Institute of Technology where she was known as “Boss Beautician”. Later in life she embraced her role as a Mother of 2 devoted children and 2 beautiful grandchildren that brought her purpose. Lakreasha also found joy in cooking for friends and family, she loved listening to music as she cleaned, and enjoyed having fun and spending time with her family and friends whom loved her dearly. She was the all time “Eye Batter” which is the way she expressed herself. Lakreasha had a bouncy and full of energy personality and her generous spirit and vibrant personality will be deeply missed.
She was a faithful member of Greater Bethlehem Temple Church, where her presence was always felt and appreciated.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Shirley Ann Warren and Douglas Covington Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Jimmie Dale Morris and Mary Helen Morris and her brother Douglas Anthony Lewis Jr.
Lakreasha leaves to cherish her mother Lillian Lewis Barnes and Stepfather Larry Barnes, her one and only son, Kyrion Isaac Lewis; her beautiful daughter, Kimora Cheyanne Lynn Lewis; and two precious grandchildren, Anastasia Lewis and Isaiah Lewis. She also leaves behind sisters, Lalita Morris, Lynndrea (Kyle) Johnson, Lillie Lewis, Natasha Thompson and Shanell Mooney; one brother Jermaine Lewis and a Dear friend Antonio Bolden . Lakreasha also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who loved her dearly.
Lakreasha’s light, laughter and love will never be forgotten. In God’s grace she rests now, but in the heart of her family her memory will be cherish forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend service at the Greater Bethlehem Temple Church 4103 Washington Ave. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, viewing at 11 am until 1 pm at which time the Celebration Homegoing service will follow.
