Humble Son, Cherished Brother, Loving Husband and Treasured Uncle, Joseph Samuel Williams, 32, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 19, 2024, outside of his residence. He was born in Erie, Pa, on November 7, 1992, the son of Stephanie Wieczorek and Richard J. Williams.
Joe worked for his Uncle Bob at Orsini’s Professional Car Care and Sales along with helping at Bizzarro’s Championship Auto Row when his cousins needed an extra hand.
Joe was truly one of a kind. He had an incredible way of putting others first, ensuring everyone was cared for, often going above and beyond before thinking of himself. With his warm smile and a knack for telling corny jokes, Joe could light up any room. A dedicated and hardworking man, Joe found joy in detailing and working on cars, both as a profession and a passion. He was deeply invested in his dream of building a race car for his beloved niece Sophia and nephew Milo to drive one day. Joe's weekends were ideally spent at the drag strip, surrounded by family, or cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles. His adventurous spirit also extended to scuba diving, hunting, and fishing, pursuits he enjoyed whenever he could.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard D. Williams; paternal grandfather, "Papa" Scott Williams; maternal grandfather David J. Wieczorek and grandmother, Patricia Wieczorek.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Noah Williams, Juliana Marucci and their son Milo; his sister-in-law, Kathryn Strobel and nieces Sophia Williams & Lauren Strobel; paternal "Nana," Joyce Williams; wife Kimberly Williams and many aunts, uncles and cousins who were all very close to his heart.
Joe's kindness, joyful spirit, and the love he brought to those around him will always be cherished. Friends may join for a Celebration of Life at the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 155 East 21st Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Saturday, January 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Let’s share stories, laughter, and fond memories just as he would have wanted.
