Joseph Earl Evans, III, entered Heaven's Gates on December 10, 2023, at the age of 74. He was born on October 6, 1949, to his loving parents; Joseph Earl Evans, Sr., & Lily Mae Evans, both deceased. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Martha, Mary & Lily, & brother, Ronald.
Uncle Joe, or Baby Joe, as he was lovingly called by everyone, loved the SF 49ers, Loona Doone Cookies & watching Lifetime & cowboy movies. Joe served honorably in the United States Air Force & served tours overseas & was called GI Joe.
He is survived by his nieces & nephews whom he adored all of them as if they were his kids, & his sister, Yolanda, and numerous family members.
Martha's kids: Lisa, Tamisha, Bonny II, Dena, Dawn, & Felicia (Brion is deceased)
Mary's kids: Willis, Trinita, Portia, Reneesha, (Marcia' is deceased)
Lily's Kids: Fatema & Shelton & Yolanda's kids: Jo'Shaun & Key'Asia.
He was very fond of two special people in his life; Denise Johnson & Ron Wood.
The eulogy will be given by Pastor Daryl Craig, Sr., who will perform the ceremony out of the Catholic Bible.
Thank you to Rhonda Rimer, his favorite RN, & Connie & Tina whom he adored, & Dr. Stragand, & the staff at the Grove at Greenville for loving him as much as we did and taking good care of him. Thank you to Pastor Denny & Cousin Shawntell for performing his baptism during his 74th birthday party.
Professional services by are being handled by Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th St, Erie, PA (814-452-4079). The service will be live-streamed at http://www.facebook.com/davisgarrfh. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
