Joseph L. Armstrong, age 53, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 24, 2024, following a short illness at Millcreek Community Hospital.
He was born on January 23, 1971, in Erie, a son of the late Joseph Eugene Armstrong and Sandra Kay (Forsyth) Armstrong.
After graduation from Technical Memorial High School, Joe continued his education at Mercyhurst University Police Academy and worked as a private investigator. Whether he was playing or restoring them, he had a passion for guitars. Joe also enjoyed working on cars and watching race cars with his family. He loved spending time with his son by fishing on Lake Erie, as it allowed them to temporarily escape reality for a few hours. Joe also found great pride in bodybuilding and attended many Arnold Classic events.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Kenneth Armstrong.
He leaves behind to cherish him in memory his children, Kira Armstrong and Mathias Armstrong; his fiancé, Marlana Carlucci; his sister, Leslie (Nicholas Vanderhoof) Armstrong; niece, Jenna (Ryan DiDomenico) Karmazin and nephew, Jacob Armstrong.
Relatives and friends are invited to Davis - Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until the time of service at 8:00 PM.
