John Ziacik

John (Jack) Ziacik passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 8th.

Jack was born in Erie, PA on January 2nd 1948, to the late John and Mary Ziacik. In addition to spending time with his 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild, Jack loved meeting freinds for coffee or lunch. Jack was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Pittsburgh Penguins. Throughout his life Jack was invovled in sports including being the football team manger while in High School at Tech Memorial. He also was a head coach and assistant coach on many teams including Erie Boys Baseball, Basketball at St. Andrew School and basketball at Tech Memorial HS, as well as many other teams and sports in the Erie area. Some of his proudest coaching moments came in 1991 as an assistant coach with the Mercyhurst Prep boys basketball team that won the state championship.

Jack is preceded in death by his son Gregory Ziacik, brother Mark Ziacik (Autum Ziacik.) He is survived by his caring wife Judy Ziacik, son David Ziacik (Patricia, Lucy and Jonah Ziacik,) grandchildren Samantha Ziacik (Cody and Jonathan Cooper), Nick Ziacik and Kalynne Ziacik.

Jack received wonderful care at LECOM at Village Square. In leu of flowers, we ask for donation to Shriners Hospital of Erie at Shrinerschildrens.org.
