John David Stevens

John David Stevens, 53, of Erie, passed away May 20, 2023, at his residence.  Born June 21, 1969, in Erie, he was the son of Mary (Stevens) Moore and the late John Barnes.

John enjoyed wrestling, watching games shows, especially, Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune.  He also enjoyed playing and watching nieces and nephews play video games.  John was a big hugger who loved everyone and was loved by everyone. 

In addition to his mother, survivors include: brothers, Jajuan Stevens, Alfredo Moore Stevens, Jr. (Carrie Jackson), Javar Beason, and Alfredo Johnson III, all of Erie and Damien Barnes Harden of Greensboro, Nc.; sisters, Angela Stevens (Ed Fletcher) of Erie, Sarah Evans of Texas, Emil Moore Stevens of Erie, Jalayna Barnes of Erie, Elaine Barnes, Elonda Barnes, Trynice Moore, and Chestina Johnson, all of Erie; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alfredo Moore, Sr., a brother, Bryan Torain, paternal grandmother, Jeanetta Barnes and paternal grandfather John Barnes Sr.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 11 AM until the hour of service at 1 PM with Rev. Daryl Craig officiating, at the Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 E. 12th Street, Erie PA.
