John N. Deloe, 83, of McKean, PA was born on March 1, 1940, and passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2024, after a long term illness.
He graduated from high school in Emlenton, PA in 1958 and joined the Army Reserves. Before his service to our country John met his wife Nancy Richards on April 23, 1958, and they married April 25, 1959.
John worked in the construction industry all his life. First building bridges and then moving on to painting and finishing homes.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, their three children, Wendy Kent-Bracken, Daniel Deloe and Stefanie Waruszewski along with her husband Chester; 5 grandchildren and & great grandchildren.
He was the sixth of nine children born to Newton Deloe and Evelyn (Dittman) Deloe in Turkey City, PA. He is survived by three sisters, Helen Bowman, Pauline Wyncoop and Bertha Elizabeth Watson along with her husband Bill.
He was a table Tennis Champion in high school, spent many years enjoying the sport of bowling, enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, tending to his vegetable garden and his flower beds, but his greatest passion in life was fishing.
Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Davis - Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa, 16503.
Interment will be at Dunn Valley Cemetery in McKean, PA.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends are asked to make a donation to Hospice of Erie County or to the McKean Hose Company.
