Jeremy Lamp

Jeremy Michael Lamp, 35, of Erie, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, unexpectedly at home due to medical complications.  Born September 19, 1988, he was the son of  Carlene M. Kurpiewski and the late Raymond M. Lamp.

He attended JoAnna Connell School and graduated from Tech Memorial. Both in Erie PA.

Preceded in death by his father, Raymond M. Lamp, maternal grandmother, Carol M. Kurpiewski and paternal grandparents Raymond and Patricia Lamp, and a close friend, Joseph Skodis.

Survivors include his mother, Carlene Kurpiewski and his sister Jessica Hernandez; two half-sisters Cierra Lamp and Cheyenne Velez; two nieces Lenora and Alexa Corder; his grandfather Thomas Kurpiewski and his wife Cheryl and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Jeremy will be most remembered for his love of music, collecting antique items such as coins, comics, books, and bottles, playing video games, and playing pool-which he had a natural ability for.  Jeremy also enjoyed cooking special dishes and obtaining knowledge about the weather and sharing it with the family. He also loved riding around the peninsula and enjoying nature.  He had a kind heart and a childlike personality.  He was a unique person and much loved by those who knew him well. Though he dealt with many struggles throughout life, he was always kind and generous to others.  Most of all, we will miss his chuckle and smile when engaging with him and his numerous daily phone calls to his family who meant everything to him. Let’s not forget to mention his favorite words were “OK” and “I don’t know”.   He will truly be missed.

Relatives and friends may call at Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th St., Erie Pa. 16503, Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A prayer Service will be at the funeral home Monday, October 30, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.  followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Church, 516 E. 13th Street, Erie PA 16503. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family to defray funeral costs or to NAMI 1611 Peach Street, Erie PA 16501.
