James "Max" Minnis Obituary

James Phillip "Max" Minnis, 55, of Erie, passed away on January 18, 2022 at UPMC-Hamot. He was born in Erie, Pa on July 13, 1966, son of Clearistine "Tena" Zielinski and the late James "Max" Jordano. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa McKey.

Max worked for Community Auto and enjoyed anything pertaining to cars. He also enjoyed boxing and playing golf.

He is survived by three daughters, Courtney Minnis, Ashley Minnis and Brittany Minnis. He is also survived by one grandson, and his siblings, Rick Minnis (Linda) of Colorado, Lorelei Bradley of Florida, Tom Minnis of Florida and Mike Minnis (Shawn) of Arkansas.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, January 24, 2022 at Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, Pa 16511.
