James Buszek Obituary

James A. Buszek, Sr.,80, of the City of Erie. He was born in Erie, PA on January 5, 1946, son of Stanley and Helen Przybyszewski Buszek.

James graduated from East High School and spent his career of 32 years working at GE Transportation. During his retirement he worked as a limousine driver for Executive Limo Services, a greens keeper at Kawkwa Club and at Whispering Woods Golf Club.

A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers, he rarely missed a game and proudly cheered for his teams through every season. Some of his greatest happiness came from watching his grandchildren play sports-whether from the sidelines or the stands, he was always their biggest supporter.

He is known for this talent on Trager grill, he took pride in smoking meats to perfection, with his wings and ribs becoming a family favorite. He also enjoyed Breakfast with his son Chuck, every week they would meet up and enjoy stories, laughter and spending time together.

He recently celebrated 59 years of marriage, his enduring love and devotion to his wife was an example to all who knew them. Together they built a life centered on family, faith and unwavering support.

He also found joy in porch sitting, enjoying the fresh air, cracking a Labatt blue light and watching the world go by. It was in these moments that his appreciation for life’s simplicity truly showed.

Above all, he cherished his family. His love for his children and especially his grandchildren was boundless, and he leaves behind a legacy of warm, strength and,  deep connection that will live on in each of them. He will be deeply missed, forever loved and always remembered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Randall and, his daughter Leslie.

In addition to his wife, Diane Wisniewski Buszek, he is survived by his children, James A. Buszek, Jr., Julie Buszek Schwindt, Charles J. Buszek (Sara). His grandchildren, Grace L. Schwindt, Gabriel S. Schwindt and Makenna Leis. His Brother/Sister in laws, Charles Casey (Audrey), Janice Rapoza and Cindy Drake (Frank) and many nieces and nephews.
