Henry J. Pilgere, Jr.

Henry John Pilgere, Jr., 79, of Erie, passed away November 26, 2025, at his residence.  Born February 4, 1946, in Erie, he was the son of the late Henry John Pilgere and Pearl Radomski Dennis and husband of Julie Jo Schilling Pilgere.

He retired from the Erie School District after many years. 

In addition to his loving wife, survivors include sons, Robert Suddarth, Paul Pilgere and wife, Kathy of Gastonia, NC, and Brian Pilgere; a daughter, Jamie Johnson and husband, Makinley, who so lovingly helped care for her, Crystal   Parker and husband, John, and Stephanie Sanfrantello and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Julian Suddarth, Boyawna Tate, Maddison Jokirksey, Leland Suddarth and Laynee Stapler, who helped take care of their Papa and whom he loved so much; great grandchildren, Julian, Journee and many grandchildren and great grandchildren: sisters, Barbarba Tuzynski and Debra Schnelland and husband, Gary; a special niece, Kathy Walkiewicz, who cares about everyone and nieces and nephews and his forever friend, Jerry Marzka.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Walkiewicz and husband, Chester; a nephew, Chester Walkiewicz and sisters-in-law, Patricia Shelaner and husband, Harry and Nancy Szymanowski.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 E. 12th Street, Erie PA 16503.

He will be sadly missed forever.
