Exodus Bowen, 38, passed away on March 15, 2026. He was born in Liberia, Africa to Edith Carr and Washington Bowen on June 11, 1987. After his father’s death the family relocated to Erie, where Exodus attended East High School excelling in math and soccer. Exodus graduated and took his trade in Carpentry.
Exodus became a roofer and worked with several companies throughout the Erie area.
He loved fishing, dancing and music. But his first love was his son Exodus Jr.
Whoever he spoke with and regardless where he was, he always shared his love and joy of Lil Ex. To know Exodus, was to love him, his spirit was pure. His smile warmed your heart, and his laughter was contagious and unforgettable.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Edith Carr and Godmother Beverly, brothers J. Rondall Jr. (Monravia, Liberia), Cyrus Tarwo (Erie) and Justin Joway (IL). Son, Exodus Bowen Jr. and his mother Meghan Hall, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Also, his memory will be kept vigilantly by his dedicated and dearest special friend Patina Arrington.
Relatives and friends are invited to Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503 on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to the time of his Funeral Service beginning at 4:00 PM. Online condolences may be sent to Davisgarrfuneralhome.com.
