Eugene Gavin Sr.

Eugene Gavin, Sr., 67, of Erie, passed away at his residence on January 3, 2022. He was born in Erie, Pa. on September 1, 1959, son of the late Brooks and Bessie Marshall Gavin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Eugene Gavin, Jr., and four brothers, Willis, James, Percey and Brooks Gavin, Jr. Eugene enjoyed spending time at Perry Square. He was an avid Raiders fan and he worked at the Good Cooks. He is survived by his granddaughter, Da Shayla Gavin of Durham, N.C.; two sisters, Bessie Gavin of Erie and Annie Allen of North Carolina; two brothers, John Gavin of Erie and Daniel Gavin of Atlanta, Ga., he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Monday, January 10, 2022 at Davis Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503 from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
