Eric Akins

Eric Akins, 54, of Erie passed away September 10, 2023, at UPMC Hamot.  Born August 17, 1969, in Erie, he was the son of the late James Johnson and Jacqueline Akins.

Eric was a barber, an artist and had numerous jobs throughout the country.  He loved working out and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Survivors include a daughter, Tandranekia Akins of Atlanta, GA; a son, Eric Akins, Jr., of Erie; a sister, Alexandria Timmons of Erie; brothers, James Akins, Douglas Akins, Quinton Akins, Merrell Timmons, Marcus Poston, and others all of Erie; two grandkids;  many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dionne Akins.

Family and friends will be received Saturday September 23, 2023, from 10 AM until Noon at the Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 459 E 12th Street, Erie PA 16503.
