Dwaine Beason, 55, of Erie, transitioned on December 19, 2024, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Erie, Pa on January 14, 1969, son of Dolores (Beason) Johnson and Fredrick Young.
Dwaine worked at Sterling Technologies. He was great with numbers and math and was a very strategic thinker. His resilience was unmatched. Dwaine attended Academy High School where he was an athlete. He enjoyed all sports. He was an athlete, especially in basketball. He was very fashionable, loved R&B music and was a great and smooth dancer. He was a man of Christ who also had a great whit about himself. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved his nieces and nephews, as if they were his own. He will be missed dearly.
Dwaine leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, Jimmy Beason, Harrison Beason, his identical twin, Dwight Beason, Lavell Beason, Darren Beason, Christopher Beason and Jarrett Beason, Latonya Young, Michelle Hasberry (Mike), Zeyah Young, Ebonie Zollicoffer (Robert), Yana Young, Fredeeda Young, and Monica Bishop, a step daughter, Deja Higgins of Buffalo, NY and two special cousins, who were like his sisters, Uneika Timmons (Merrell) and Elonda Barnes. In addition, he was also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Manson and Sudie Mae Manson Beason and his brother, Demond Beason.
Relatives and friends are invited to the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church 155 East 21st Street, Erie, Pa 16503 on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 11:00 am until the time of his Homegoing Service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Daryl Craig officiating. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to LECOM Hospice Service, Kate Williams and UPMC Cancer Institute and coordination services.
