Douglas Anthony Lewis Sr. ("Dougie Fresh") 60, of Erie, transitioned to the other side on Friday, October 22, 2021. He was born April 15,1961 in Detroit, Mich. to the late Douglas Covington and Shirley Ann Lewis. Douglas was also preceded in death by his son Douglas Lewis Jr., Kevin Lewis (brother), Mary Helen Morris (mother-in-law) who treated him like her own, maternal grandparents; Morris B. Lewis and AnnaMarie Lewis, paternal grandparents; George and Hattie Covington all of Detroit, Michigan, great-grandson; Immanuel Anthony Lewis of Erie, Pa. and brother by relation Timothy Reed Plott Sr.. Douglas was a resident of Erie for over 40 years. He loved his family and was a hard worker. He enjoyed fishing, long rides, jazz and being the life of the party. He was a proud worker at Lords Corporation and EMI Corporation. He then pursued an already established career in management to become a Master Barber. He was a proud Barber at Dawsons Barber & Beauty Supply for some years and Debonairs Hair Salon. He then became part owner of Devine Creation Barber & Beauty Salon alongside his daughter Lalita and friend and wife at the time Lillian. Douglas leaves to cherish his memory; close friend and previous wife of 35 years Lillian Barnes, Daughters; Lalita K. Morris, Lynndrea M. Anderson nee Lewis (Damion), Lakreasha J. Lewis, Lillie Lewis (Shavante Glover), one son Jermaine Lewis, Two Sisters; Sabrina Lewis of Pittsburgh and Nina Brooks of Michigan, five brothers; Ricky Duckins, Tommy, Johnny, Leslie and Mark Floyd, all of Michigan, 33 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, all of Erie, aunt Ann Lewis of Pittsburgh, many nieces, nephews and a host of brothers and sisters by relation and friends. The celebration for Douglas' life is planned for October 30, 2021 with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the celebration at 1 p.m. at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church, 4103 Washington Ave., Erie, PA 16509.
