Doris E. Zawistowski

Doris E. Zawistowski, age 86, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021.  She was born in Erie, January 11, 1935, to the late Leo and Helen Suchy. 
Doris attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School and graduated from Academy High School.  She had a career at General Electric in Building 64.  She was a long time member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.  She lived most of her life in Erie but spent several years in Leeper and Brookville, PA.
Doris enjoyed going to breakfast and lunch especially with her sister-in-law, Norma Suchy, and Cousin Dorothy Martinez, being with family, shopping and playing cards or bingo. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Leonard A. Zawistowski Sr. and her brother Ron Suchy.
She is survived by 4 children, Leonard (Barbara) Zawistowski Jr. of Ashburn, VA, Tom (Nanette) Zawistowski of Akron, OH, Patricia (Jack) Retchloff of Saegertown, PA, and Colleen (Dave) Bunkers of Colorado Springs, CO; 3 nephews, Mark (Cassie) Suchy of Loxahatchee, FL, Mike (Chrissie) Suchy of Erie, Kevin (Becky) Suchy of Erie.  She is further survived by her grandchildren, John Peter Zawistowski, Justin (Tiffany) Zawistowski, Gregory (Meagen) Zawistowski, Jesse (Tricia) Retchloff, Amanda (Jim) Broderick, Sarah (Paul) Rowe, Michael (Lateefah) Zawistowski, Richie Bunkers and Lilly Bunkers.  Her great nephews and nieces, Maya, Seth, Chris and Taylor.  She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, Raegan, Gracie, Ruby, Jackson, Mara, Owen, Will, Adie, Roman and Cameron and her great-great niece Clara.
Family and family may call to Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 31, 2021 at 10am. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 1531 East Grandview Blvd Erie, Pennsylvania 16510.  Everyone please meet at church.
