Donald Walter Crago, born February 13, 1962, of Erie, PA, passed away on February 5, 2026.
A dedicated Navy veteran and retired postal carrier of 30 years, Don was a hard-worker and doting father and grandfather. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and was a talented wood worker, building many pieces of furniture enjoyed by his family. He loved spending time outdoors, chopping wood or looking for rocks at the beach. Don also placed flags at the graves of postal carriers buried at Erie cemetery, a service he carried out for many years. Well-loved by many, he was always ready to help a neighbor with mowing or shoveling.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald Crago; brothers Chris Crago and Tim Crago; and nephew Nicholas Fisher. He is survived by his mother, Irene Crago, with whom he shared a special bond; his children, Rebecca Ebersole (Read Ebersole) and Luke Crago; grandchildren, Atlas Ebersole, Lucy Beth Ebersole, and Clark Ebersole; sisters Susan Crago (Jill Apolinario), Kathy Elliott (Rodney Elliott), and Renee Jobes (Jim Jobes); sisters in-law Tara Crago and Tammy Crago; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friends Maribeth Crago, Joe Kiehlmeier and Dan Kooker.
Per Don’s wishes, no services will be held. Donations in memoriam may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of South Texas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503. Online condolences may be sent to Davisgarrfuneralhome.com.
