Diontwone LaVon Robinson

Diontwone L. Robinson, 30, of Erie, PA, passed away on January 12, 2023, of natural causes.

Diontwone was born on October 17, 1992, to James Robinson Jr. and Tioinia T. Evans, in Erie, PA. Mookie, as he was affectionately known, was raised by his mother, maternal grandparents, Albert McCullum Sr. and Evelyn Evans-McCullum.

After graduating high school, Diontwone labored in the foodservice industry as a Cook for his entire career. He was currently employed at the Outback Steakhouse, here in Erie. He loved video games and especially loved being around family. Diontwone was never scared to take on new opportunities and did everything with honesty and integrity. He had very strong values and was well liked by everyone, due to his positive energy. He also took a special interest in being there for his younger cousins, and always made time to help others. 

Diontwone was preceded in death by his mother, Tioinia T. Evans, his maternal grandfather, Albert McCullum Sr., maternal great grandparents, Ludie and Essie Evans and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memory, maternal grandmother,  Evelyn Evans-McCullum and Father James Robinson Jr. Diontwone is further survived by his siblings: Damani, Divine, Deyonce, Heaven, James III, Itila, Iarra, Valentino and Imani Robinson. Also, special aunts and uncles, Yolanda Muldrew (Joe), and Albert McCullum Jr. (Jihan    ) and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

There are no words to express how grateful and blessed we are for the Outback Steakhouse, who went above and beyond their mission statement. Sending blessings to the managing partner of Erie, PA., and the entire Outback Steakhouse companies. Let us all choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.

Family and Friends are invited to Morning Star Baptist Church, 327 East 23rd Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503, on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Davis - Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503.
