Diane Jaskiewicz, age 63, of Erie passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 10th, 2025. Diane was born January 19th, 1962, in Erie, PA to Robert and Mary Brooks. Diane worked for the Erie Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center for 21 years. She was a member of the VA quilters guild and provided handmade quilts to Service Members and Veterans who have been touched by war. In addition to quilting, sewing and reading, Diane had a love for Cleveland Guardians baseball. She enjoyed cheering on her favorite player Jose Ramirez and the eighth inning tradition of singing “Hang On Sloopy” at any game she attended. She was a lover of music and spent much of her youth attending concerts at the County Field House with her husband. One of their memorable first dates was getting to see Cheap Trick while enjoying each other’s company. Diane dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother, wife, and friend. Her children were her world and she was theirs. She was a generous, kind, and self-sacrificing woman who always put the needs of others before her own. Some of her favorite times were spent enjoying family campfires and sitting on the back porch during beautiful summer evenings with her favorite pups, Bailey, Koda, and Ivy. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Dennis Jaskiewicz; and three children, Matthew Jaskiewicz, Jennifer Jaskiewicz, and Daniel Jaskiewicz (Sarah) all of Erie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association at https://www.lung.org.
