DeAnte Kevon Pittman, 24, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at UPMC Hamot.
DeAnte was born on March 11, 1999, in Erie, son of Andrea “Redd” Chandler and Thurman Lee Pittman Jr.
DeAnte graduated from C.S.E. Skills Center and was a longtime employee at Country Fair. He was formally employed by LECOM and Arbys.
DeAnte AKA Kevon was a blessing to us and touched the lives of many others. A great father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, godson, nephew, cousin and a guiding light for so many others. He showed that love and loyalty put you in his family.
Kevon loved football, fishing, BBQs, and spending time with his kids, family and friends. Kevon attended True Holiness Church with his family when he could.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Jessie Carmelita Dobbs and his grandfathers David O’Neal Barnett and Thurman Lee Pittman Sr.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his fiancé, Harlem Ellman, brother Damontena “Monty” Knight, four sisters, DaJanae Chandler – Moyet (Martin), Dymonique Knight, Ashanti Pittman and Destiny Jackson. His two children, Kehlani Pittman and DeAnte Pittman Jr., two grandmothers, Rose A. Glover (Richard) and Annie Flowers.
Relatives and friends are invited to House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 155 East 21st Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 12:00 PM until the time of his Homegoing Celebration at 2:00 PM.
