David Thomas

David P. Thomas, 82, of Erie, passed away on November 17, 2025. He was born in Erie on October 2, 1943.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Thomas, son, Dennis Austin, brothers, Donald Thomas and James Duchnowski, grandchildren, Nick Thomas and Jessica Torres, and his great-granddaughter, Allissa Ryder.

David worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDot), enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the Casino, and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. David also enjoyed woodworking and building things.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Debbie Brozel (Bill), Karen Wallace, Pam Thomas (Phil), Paula Thomas, Sheri Thomas (Ralph), Tracey Thomas (Angel) and Kelly Thomas . Sons, John Austin, Dave Austin (Julie), Paul Thomas (Kim), and Scott Thomas (Patti). David also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his girlfriend, Lynn Fuller.

Relatives and friends are invited to Davis-Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503 on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM for his Memorial Service, burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
